This month you can find out a bit more about me in Australian Patchwork and Quilting Magazine, vol.23, issue 10.
They left out the paragraph on influences so I thought I would include it here:
Whose works are you drawn to and why?
At the moment I really love the work of Cal Lane – http://www.callane.com/ . I love the lace created out of metal and the crazy juxtaposition of things once solid made light. I love the work of Flossie Peitsch (no relation and yes, it is spelt differently!) http://flossiepeitsch.com/ because she pushes me to think differently. I love Anne Griffiths (http://www.pocketmouse.co.uk/home.php) because she brings me back to the world of embroidery and once again brings metal into the picture (check out her collaboration with Paula Groves –Anamnesis – stunning!)
Exhibition in November in Adelaide, South Australia
The article includes one of my pieces for an exhibition in November called Place-Meant. Its with a number of other very talented ladies. If you want to hear more about it and get an invite to the opening, then please subscribe to my newsletter.
