Susan Pietsch (pronounced peach) is a Visual Artist currently living and practising in Brisbane, Australia. Originally training and working as an architect, Susan turned her attention to working full time as an artist in 2009 as well as launching her art supplies business Essential Textile Art. From working predominately in textiles in the beginning, she now favours a more mixed media approach that sees painting taking a more dominant place in her work. Susan has exhibited in both Adelaide, South Australia and Brisbane, Queensland.
Approach
Susan’s work is based around narrative – the story comes first, telling her what to create. She works in a range of materials, from acrylics to textiles, to achieve the result she wants.
